The Embassy of Bangladesh in Berlin started issuing Machine Readable ‘No Visa Required (NVR)’ sticker/stamp in September 2021. Those who already have valid manual No Visa Required (NVR) stamp/seal/sticker on their passport, can travel with their existing No Visa Required (NVR) sticker/stamp. The validity of the NVR is same as the validity of their passport. However, it is recommended to apply for converting manual NVR to Machine Readable NVR.

Requirements for ‘No Visa Required (NVR)’

The following documents are required to submit/send to Embassy to receive No Visa Required (NVR) sticker for an (ex) Bangladeshi citizen:

1. 01 (one) copy of the duly filled-in application form. Please click the link and fill out the form: https://www.visa.gov.bd/
2. 01 (one) recent passport-size photo of the applicant
3. German/Foreign Passport (valid at least for six months) of the applicant
4. Copy of the valid or expired Bangladesh Passport (informtaion/data page only), or Copy of the Dual Citizenship Certificate, or Copy of previous NVR sticker/seal including copy of the informtaion/data page of the same German/Foreign passport where the sticker was issued.
5. Copy of a letter from German/Foreign Authority in case of name change
6. Proof of payment of Euro 50 (fifty Euros) transferred to the Embassy Account
7.  Make payments for your Visa processing Fee by Bank Transfer ONLY to the bank account of the Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash/personal cheque is NOT accepted.
8. Visa fees are received for processing your applications. Hence, Visa fees are non-refundable even if an application is rejected or withdrawn or a different category of visa is issued.

For foreign spouse (Wife or Husband) of Bangladeshi or (Ex) Bangladeshi Citizen:

For foreign spouse, the duration of their marriage should be five years or more for the endorsement of NVR. The following documents are required to submit/send to Embassy to receive No Visa Required (NVR) sticker for the foreign spouse (Wife or Husband) of Bangladeshi or (Ex) Bangladeshi Citizen:

2. 01 (one) recent passport-size photo of the applicant
3. German/ Foreign Passport (valid at least for six months) of the applicant
4. Copy of the husband or wife’s Bangladeshi valid or expired Passport (informtaion/data page only), or Copy of Dual Citizenship Certificate, or Copy of the previous NVR sticker/seal including copy of the informtaion/data page of the same German/Foreign passport where the sticker was issued.
5. Copy of marriage certificate
6. Copy of a letter from German/Foreign Authority in case of name change
7. Proof of payment of Euro 50 (fifty Euros) transferred to the Embassy Account

4. Copy of father/mother’s Bangladeshi valid or expired Passport (informtaion/data page only), or Copy of Dual Citizenship Certificate, or German/Foreign passport along with photocopy of its data/information page and the page containing NVR seal
5. Copy of the birth certificate of the child, mentioning names of the parents
6. Copy of the letter from German/Foreign Authority in case of name change
7. Proof of payment of Euro 50 (fifty Euros) transferred to the Embassy Account
8. Make payments for your Visa processing Fee by Bank Transfer ONLY to the bank account of the Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash/personal cheque is NOT accepted.

1. Please fulfil all requirements of application and paperworks to avoid any delay in visa processing.
2. Foreign citizens (except SAARC countries) of Bangladesh origin are eligible for endorsement of ‘No Visa Required (NVR) sticker’ in their foreign passports.
