The following documents are required for renunciation (Cancellation) of Bangladesh nationality and obtain a certificate of renunciation from the Embassy:

• Filled-in application form (02 copies) for renunciation of Bangladesh nationality
• Original Bangladesh passport
• Photocopy of Bangladesh passport (handwritten 1-5 pages, MRP 1-2 pages)
• Certificate from the foreign nationality (Einbürgerungsurkunde)
• Receipt of Bank Transfer for Fee (€60 per certificate).

Renunciation for children from parents passport

Required documents :

(a) 02 copies of hand written application with current address from mother/father for the renunciation of Bangladeshi nationality of the child to remove or delete the name of child from the passport of father/mother.
(b) Mother/Father’s passport [original] where the child endorsed.
(c) Copy of nationality certificate of the child (Einbürgerungsurkunde)
(d) Return Envelope with stamp or postal charge (Optional – if the applicant want to get the processing certificate by postal mail).
(e) Receipt of Bank Transfer for Fee (€60 per certificate).

Important Note:

The Embassy will send processing certificate for renunciation of Bangladesh Nationality within 7 working days if all the requirements (serial number 1- 6 on the above) are fulfilled by the applicant. The certificate will send into self addressed given envelope of the applicant.

To get final renunciation certificate, the approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dhaka, Bangladesh is required and it takes around 06 (six) months to 02 (two) years.

উত্তর: চূড়ান্ত সনদের জন্য বাংলাদেশের স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের অনুমোদন প্রয়োজন, যা সম্পন্ন হতে আনুমানিক ৬ মাস থেকে ২ বছর সময় লাগে। (Final renunciation certificate requires approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs in Dhaka, which takes approximately 6 months to 2 years.)
